How to Look Radiant on a Long Plane Trip

Going on a long plane trip is exhausting. The last time I went to Norway, my 13 hour plane trip ended up taking 28 hours instead. And, even though you can sleep on the plane, chances are, you’ll still look pretty ragged when you get off the plane. But, you don’t have to look exhausted, even though you feel it. Let me share some traveling beauty tips…

First things first:

  • Don’t put makeup on before the trip. Just use a good moisturizer as well as a layer of face oil or face cream.
  • Keep your lips moisturized with a nourishing lip tint
  • Put your hair up in a high pony tail or bun so it doesn’t get electric
  • Put the rest of your makeup in your carry-on bag for later

Just before you get to your destination, take out your mirror and give yourself a quick makeover. All you need is a bit of foundation or tinted moisturizer and some pink lip tint or cream blush on your cheeks.

On the eyes, I use a bit of eye liner, a smudge of matte eye shadow and a dot of highlighter on the inner corner. Top that off with lots and lots of fresh mascara and your eyes will look a lot less tired. Add more lip tint and a drop of lip gloss. Let your hair down and give it a fluff, and you’ll look amazingly fresh, regardless of how long your journey was.

So if you are planning on traveling soon, don’t forget about my new travel sized gift sets. You can fit an amazing amount of those tiny bottles into one zip lock bag. So, armed with what you know, there is no excuse to let a flight make you look anything less than radiant..

The key is to start out with very little makeup on, and then add some refreshing layers just before you land. Keep it your little secret and no one will ever know how you can look so fresh after such a long plane trip…
