I think almost every girl loves mascara! Mascara makes people notice your eyes. It opens them up and makes them pop! The difference can be huge, especially if your eye lashes are naturally blonde. The problem comes when you try to remove the mascara. The formulas that are made these days are so good. It is often almost impossible to get the mascara off. Even mascara that is not waterproof can really stick to those lashes!
Many people don’t even bother to remove the mascara at night! I met one of those people last time I was at the local market, and I have to be honest, I was a bit shocked when she told me she never takes off her mascara! Whatever! I’m not going to nag anyone about how important it is to take off the mascara. I’ll just tell you how easy it can be to remove it instead.
After trying everything in Walmart and our local health food store, none of it was working for me. The Walmart options were burning my eyes, and the health food options started smelling bad very quickly. So, I decided to take it upon myself to make my own mascara remover.
I used many healthy oils and butters to get the consistency just right, and when I tried it, I was amazed at how well it worked. I even formulated it in such a way that when you wipe off the makeup, the oiliness disappears too, so you are left with very clean eyelids and lashes that are ready for new makeup the next morning.
Here is What You Do to Remove Mascara
- Take out contact lenses, if you use them
- Put a small amount of the cream all over your eye brows, eye lids and lashes
- With eyes closed, gently massage the cream into lashes for about 1 minute
- When your mascara starts melting, it is time to wipe
- Use a lightly moistened cotton pad to wipe the mascara off
- Try to wipe the lashes from the underside as well
- Repeat, if needed
